Schneeheide is a district of the town of Walsrode ( Heidekreis district , Lower Saxony ) in the Lüneburg Heath . The district has about 430 inhabitants on an area of ​​5.0 km².

history

Schneeheide was built between 1911 and 1914, it is the youngest village in the city of Walsrode. At that time the village was founded again. The name was first mentioned as early as 1491. In 1912, Schneeheide became an independent political municipality and, during the regional reform in Lower Saxony in 1974, it became a district of the city of Walsrode .
