Jeddingen is a district of the city of Visselhövede in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district in Lower Saxony . About 1050 people live in the village.

Jeddingen is located in the southwestern area of the city of Visselhövede, 5 km southwest of the core town of Visselhövede.
Neighboring districts are - clockwise from the north - Wittorf , Nindorf , Visselhövede (Kernort), Kettenburg , Bleckwedel , Bendingbostel and Dreeßel .
history
The place is first mentioned in the 14th century as Geddinge, Jeddingk or Jedding, from 1718 the name Jeddingen is in use.
Since the regional reform that came into force on March 1, 1974, the previously independent municipality of Jeddingen has been one of 15 localities in the city of Visselhövede.
In the years 1994 and 1998 the place won the district competition “Our village should be more beautiful - our village has a future”.
Economy and Infrastructure
Jeddingen is far from the traffic. The federal highway 27 runs 11 km to the south, the federal highway 440 leading from Bomlitz via Visselhövede to Rotenburg (Wümme) runs 4 km to the north, and the state road L 171 from Visselhövede to Verden (Aller) runs through the village.
In Jeddingen - in contrast to some of the smaller districts of Visselhövede - there are street names and not just house numbers , so that residents, postmen, suppliers and visitors can find their way around.
