Bucky Baxter
William "Bucky" Baxter (* 1955 in Melbourne , Florida ; † May 25, 2020 in Sanibel , Florida) was an American multi-instrumentalist from New Jersey .
Career
He worked on albums by Bob Dylan , Ryan Adams , Steve Earle , REM and Joe Henry as a musician on various instruments.
In the studio or during live performances, Baxter has played steel guitar , acoustic guitar, electric guitar , mandolin , dobro and organ, and other instruments. Baxter played pedal steel guitar in Bob Dylan's band on his "Never Ending Tour" between 1992 and 1999 and in 1995 played dobro, pedal steel and steel guitar on Dylan's appearances for the album MTV Unplugged , as well as pedal steel guitar Dylan's 1997 Grammy- winning album Time Out of Mind .
Baxter himself released his solo album Most Likely, No Problem in 1999 .
Baxter was also one of the three co-founders of Moontoast , a rich media social advertising platform.
He lived in Nashville , Tennessee .
