Buenaventura Lakes borders Kissimmee in the southwest and is about 10 km south of Orlando . The CDP is affected by the Florida's Turnpike .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 26,079 inhabitants were distributed over 9,967 households. The population density was 1,798.6 inh / km². 61.2% of the population identified themselves as whites, 14.2% as African American , 0.6% as Indians and 2.6% as Asian Americans . 16.6% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 4.9% to several ethnic groups. 69.6% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 45.1% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 27.0% of all households. 81.4% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 3.19 people and the average family size was 3.44 people.
