Bumillo (bourgeois Christian Bumeder , * 1981 in Rosenheim ) is a German cabaret artist .

life and work

Bumillo grew up in Reit im Winkl and studied German and theater studies in Munich from 2004 to 2009 . He completed his studies with an MA in order to then devote himself to his dissertation on the subject of the media inception of the consciousness film . The finished doctoral thesis was published by Königshausen & Neumann at the beginning of 2014 and brought Bumillo the degree of Dr. phil. a.

Since the beginning of 2007 Bumillo has appeared regularly on cabaret and cabaret stages. His roots are in the poetry slam , an event format in which he was often seen from 2007 to 2012. With the team PauL - Poetry from Passion , to which Heiner Lange and Philipp Scharrenberg also belong, he became the German-speaking master in the poetry slam in Düsseldorf in October 2009 .

For their evening program DichterLoh. A rock concert of poetry , PauL were henceforth awarded the Small Passau Executioner's Ax 2009, the Wooden Stuttgart Besen 2010, the Golden White Sausage 2010, the Reinheimer Satirelöwen 2011, the Cabaret Kaktus 2011 and the Thurn und Taxis Cabaret Prize 2014.

As a solo artist, Bumillo became the German Box Poetry Slam Champion in 2010. He is a founding member and regular reader of the Munich reading show The Rational Assembly, founded in 2011 , which first took place monthly in the Munich Rationaltheater , then from February 2015 to November 2018 in Import Export and has been taking place in the Milla Club since February 2019. Since April 2012 he has been Slam Master and moderator of the Schwabing Poetry Slam in the Munich Lustspielhaus, from 2013 to 2018 he moderated the Milla Song Slam monthly in the Milla Club. His first cabaret program VEIT CLUB premiered in October 2014 in the Munich clubhouse. In April 2016, Bumillo was presented as the presenter of the art and literature program SÜDLICHT on BR TV, which he moderated weekly until the program was discontinued in July 2017. He was appointed to the Munich tower clerk in 2018.

With his second solo program "Die Rutsche rauf" Bumillo went on a major tour of Germany and has been under contract with the Munich artist agency Zweigold since March 2019. In July 2019 he was seen live on television for the first time on the cabaret show "Schlachthof".
