Bundestag constituency Bernburg - Bitterfeld - Saalkreis
The Bundestag constituency Bernburg - Bitterfeld - Saalkreis was a constituency in Saxony-Anhalt in the federal elections in 2002 and 2005 . He wore the constituency number 72 and included the former Saalkreis and the former counties Bernburg and Bitterfeld .
The constituency was newly established during the 2002 constituency reform. Since Saxony-Anhalt lost one constituency in the 2009 Bundestag election and a major district reform took place in 2007 , most of the electoral districts in the state were redesigned. The constituency of Bernburg - Bitterfeld - Saalkreis was dissolved. The area of the former districts of Bernburg and Bitterfeld was assigned to the constituency of Anhalt and the area of the former hall district was divided between the constituencies of Halle , Mansfeld and Burgenland - Saalekreis .
