The Act to Increase the Attractiveness of Service in the Bundeswehr , or Bundeswehr Attractiveness Increase Act for short ( BwAttraktStG ), unofficial short form Bundeswehr Attractiveness Increase Act, is otherwise unchanged and passed by the German Bundestag on February 26, 2015 "with attached measures", i.e. with additional subsequent changes and legal norm that does not require approval , which, among other things , is intended to improve working conditions, as well as the salary and provisions of the Bundeswehr employees , and thus increase the Bundeswehr's attractiveness as an employer.

This is an article law for whose amending effect the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI) and the Federal Ministry of Defense (BMVg) are primarily responsible.

It was issued on May 13, 2015 by the Federal Government of the 18th electoral term , represented by Federal President Joachim Gauck , Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel , Federal Minister of Defense Ursula von der Leyen and Federal Minister of the Interior Thomas de Maizière , on May 22nd 2015 in the Federal Law Gazette and resigned according to. Art. 13 Para. 1 BwAttraktStG on May 23, 2015, subject to Paragraphs 2 to 9, in force.

The law contains regulations to increase the attractiveness of the service in the core areas of working conditions and organizational structure, remuneration, as well as social security and care, with the aim of maintaining the Bundeswehr's operational capability.

Working conditions and service organization

To an improvement in working conditions and the service design in particular the introduction of regular working hours of 41 hours a week for are soldiers inside and soldiers in basic operation, expanding the opportunities for soldiers, part-time employment to take advantage of, and the creation of better conveyance options intended.

Remuneration and remuneration

Article 13 regulates the entry into force of the law and parts of it, and decrees the expiry of the Fourth Customs Amendment Act.
