The Castle Knoll Castle is an Outbound hilltop castle at 490  m above sea level. NN on the Michaelsberg (abandoned village Knollenburg) near the community of Dischingen in the district of Heidenheim in Baden-Württemberg .

Quote: The greatest misfortune for our area was the battle of Nördlingen in September 1634. The Swedes under Field Marshal Horn had already set up their headquarters at the Knollenburg in Dischingen on the outskirts of Ballmertshofen (skeleton pieces and weapons were found here).

Today's Burgstall still shows the remains of the castle hill and the moat .
