Miesbach Castle

The castle Miesbach is a Outbound castle on the site of today's district office in Miesbach in the district of Miesbach in Bavaria .

The castle, which was probably built in the 11th to 12th centuries, was destroyed by the Waldeckers in 1312 , thus initiating the first step towards the replacement of the area from the diocese of Freising . "The oldest church in Miesbach was probably located within the walls of Miesbach Castle and was destroyed with it in 1312." ( Prelate Heimbucher :)

No remains of the former castle complex have survived.
