The Burgstall Rossau describes an abandoned high or late medieval hilltop castle in a spur at 740  m above sea level. NHN about 200 meters west-north-west of Rossau , south of the "Wilden Graben" in the area of ​​the municipality of Altenstadt in the district of Weilheim-Schongau in Bavaria .

Nothing has survived from the former castle complex , today the site is registered as a ground monument D-1-8231-0039 "Castle stalls of the high or late Middle Ages" by the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation .
