The Postal Tannenberg called the Outbound high medieval hilltop castle Tannenberg at 860  m above sea level. NHN in the spur location on the "Schlossplatz" about 550 meters south-southwest of the church of Tannenberg , a district of the municipality of Burggen in the Weilheim-Schongau district in Bavaria .

Nothing has survived from the former castle of the Lords of Tannenberg, the site is now registered as a floor monument D-1-8230-0008 "Castle stables of the high and late Middle Ages (" Tannenberg ")" by the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation .
