Bursters ( 버스 터즈 ) is a post-hardcore / alternative rock band from the South Korean capital Seoul, founded in 2014 .

history

The band Bursters was founded in 2014 under the name Burstered in the South Korean capital Seoul and consists of singer Daegun Roh, the two guitarists Junyong Ahn and Gyejin Lee as well as bassist Hwanhee Jo and drummer Taehee Jo.

In the year it was founded, the group took part in the talent show Superstar K 6 , where it came in sixth. After the release of their EP Independent under the name Burstered in February 2015, they released their debut album Live In Hope on April 16, 2017 , which was released via Evermore Music and was able to position at number 81 in the South Korean charts .

In July 2019, the band toured outside South Korea for the first time and played five concerts in the UK . Following this tour, the group plans to release their second studio album. This is called Once And For All and will be released on March 31, 2020 on a worldwide basis. The development of the album took almost three years.

music

In an interview with the British Kerrang! the musicians cited various artists of the rock scene as musical influences, including Bullet for My Valentine , Korn , One Ok Rock , Coldrain , The Used , My Chemical Romance and Linkin Park . The band was suggested for fans of Black Veil Brides and Escape the Fate in a brief introduction article by Alternative Press .

According to an article in the online magazine Guitar.com, the group uses a wide variety of genres in their music. The musicians work with pop , nu-metal , funk , electronica and traditional hardcore . On their second album, Bursters, inspired by Bring Me the Horizon and Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park , work with synthesizers and programming parts.
