The residential building Bylandtstraße 22 is in the Rheydt district in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).

The house was built in the early 20th century. It was entered under No. B 010 on December 4, 1984 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .

architecture

The house Bylandstrasse No. 22 is a three-storey three-window house with an extended mansard attic as an apartment building . The year of construction is at the beginning of the 20th century in the form of a romanticizing Art Nouveau successor . The main facade was smoothly plastered and in the mansard roof area developed a central ornamental gable with a half-timbered construction in decorative ornamental divisions. On the left-hand side of the facade , the original house entrance door is arranged above the basement plinth . On the right-hand side of the first floor, the facade is emphasized by the protruding two-story bay window with a pointed gable and a gable roof . Both gables, that of the bay window and that of the main gable, are in the same decorative framework. The main cornice is a simple box cornice with profiles. Above that, the mansard roof area in an original beaver tail covering ; on the left a small dormer window .
