Caesarean text type

The Caesarean text type , or gamma text, is one of several New Testament text types that New Testament textual criticism distinguishes between. It is the predominant text form in the old Syrian translations from Greek, as well as in quotations from certain Christian authors of the 3rd and 4th centuries , including Origen , Eusebius and Cyril of Jerusalem .
