Celestine Hennermann

Célestine Hennermann (* 1972 ) is a German theater director and dramaturge .

Career

Célestine Hennermann studied theater, film and media studies with Hans-Thies Lehmann at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main .

After completing his studies, Hennermann worked as an assistant to William Forsythe and later as a dramaturge at the Frankfurt Ballet . Afterwards she curated the program of the Theater am Turm in the Bockenheimer Depot and worked on Motion Bank , a research project of the Forsythe Company . In the following years she worked as a freelance dramaturge and director of her own theater projects.

In 2004 Hennermann founded his own theater group together with the dancer Christopher Roman and the video artist and set designer Philip Bußmann . Since then she has co-directed theater projects and installations with Bußmann under the name 2+.

From 2016 to 2019, Hennermann was a teacher for special tasks in the Master of Contemporary Dance Education course at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt .
