Cote des Isles
The Côte des Isles ( German coast of the islands) is the landscape around Barneville-Carteret . It is located on the Cotentin Peninsula . It extends from Denneville in the south to Baubigny in the north. The coast is 33 km long. Between Denneville and Barneville-Carteret there is an overlap with the Côte des Havres , as the Côtes des Isles contains the natural harbors ( havres ) of Portbail and Carteret .
With Isles ( African for îles , islands ) are the Channel Islands , which are on the other side of the Passage de la Déroute , meant. Due to the proximity of the Channel Islands, tourism has developed well.

The coast consists of the following beaches plages :
- Plage de La Potinière in Barneville-Carteret
- Plage de la Vieille église in Barneville-Carteret
- long beach from Barneville to Portbail
- Lindbergh-Plage in Saint-Lô-d'Ourville
- long beach from Hattainville to Baubigny
- Denneville Beach
The coast includes two natural harbors of Havres :
- Havre of Carteret;
- Havre from Portbail .
Salt marshes develop within the "Havres" . This sand has a high lime content.
Vegetables are grown on a large scale behind the coast.
