Cachuela España is a town in the Santa Cruz Department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Cachuela España is the fifth largest town in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) of San Javier in the province of Ñuflo de Chávez . The community is located at an altitude of 248 m on the right, eastern bank of the Río San Julián , the upper reaches of the Río Itonomas , which flows downstream into the Río Iténez , border river with Brazil .

Cachuela España is located in the Bolivian lowlands in the Chiquitanía region , a largely sparsely populated landscape between Santa Cruz and the Brazilian border.
The region's climate is a semi-humid climate of the warm subtropics . The monthly average temperatures fluctuate only slightly over the course of the year between 20 ° C in the winter months of June and July with strong cold southerly winds, and around 25 ° C from October to February (see climate diagram San Javier).
The annual average precipitation is around 1000 mm, which falls mainly in the wet season from November to March, while the arid months from June to September show monthly values between 25 and 50 mm.
Transport network
Cachuela España is located at a distance of 200 kilometers by road northeast of Santa Cruz, the capital of the department.
From Santa Cruz, the asphalted highway Ruta 4 leads 47 kilometers in an easterly direction via Cotoca to Pailón . Here it meets the Ruta 9 , which in a northerly direction via Los Troncos and San Julián reaches the city of Santa Cruz after a further 148 kilometers . The Ruta 9 then continues via Trinidad in the far northeast of the country to Guayaramerín on the Brazilian border.
Twenty kilometers in a north-westerly direction behind San Ramón, a dirt road turns off Ruta 9 in a south-westerly direction and reaches Cachuela España after another five kilometers.
