San Ramón is a small town in the Santa Cruz department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
San Ramón is the central place of the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) San Ramón in the province Ñuflo de Chávez . The city is located at an altitude of 263 m on the right bank of the Río San Julian , the upper reaches of the Río Itonomas , which flows further north past San Pablo de Guarayos , Santa María de Guarayos , Puente San Pablo and Magdalena and 1,070 km downstream flows into the Río Iténez .

San Ramón is located in the Bolivian lowlands in the Chiquitania region , a largely unpopulated landscape between Santa Cruz and the Brazilian border.
The region's climate is a semi-humid climate of the warm subtropics . The monthly average temperatures fluctuate only slightly over the course of the year between 21 and 22 ° C (see climate diagram San Ramón) in the winter months of June and July with strong cold south winds, and 26 to 27 ° C from October to March.
The annual amount of precipitation averages around 1000 mm over the long term, which falls mainly in the wet season from November to March, while the arid months from July to September show monthly values between 25 and 50 mm.

San Ramón is 184 kilometers by road from Santa Cruz, the capital of the department.
From Santa Cruz, the asphalted highway Ruta 4 leads 47 kilometers in an easterly direction via Cotoca to Pailón . Here it meets Ruta 9 , which in a northerly direction via Los Troncos and San Julián reaches San Ramón after a further 137 kilometers . The Ruta 9 then continues via Trinidad in the far northeast of the country to Guayaramerín on the Brazilian border.
The Route 10 , which crosses the Santa Cruz Department in a west-east direction , also runs through San Ramón . It leads from the colonization areas on the lower reaches of the Río Grande near San Juan del Piraí via Mineros and Okinawa I to San Ramón and further east to Concepción , Santa Rosa de Roca and San Ignacio de Velasco to San Matías in the Pantanal on the Brazilian border.
