Santa Rosa de Roca (also: Santa Rosa de la Roca ) is a town in the Santa Cruz department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Santa Rosa de Roca is the central place of the canton Santa Rosa de Roca in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) San Ignacio in the province of Velasco . The village is located at an altitude of 361 m in the headwaters of the Río Utubo , which is connected to the Río Mamoré via the Río Negro . The nearest town is Carmen de Ruíz 41 kilometers east of Santa Rosa, the nearest larger cities are Concepción 82 kilometers southwest and San Ignacio de Velasco 82 kilometers southeast of Santa Rosa.

From Santa Cruz, the asphalted highway Ruta 4 leads 57 kilometers northwards via Warnes to Montero . A few kilometers north of Montero, it meets Ruta 10 , which leads over a distance of 648 kilometers to the east and crosses the towns of San Ramón , San Javier and Santa Rosa de la Roca as an asphalt road. The road is unpaved for the remaining 370 kilometers via San Ignacio de Velasco , San Vicente de la Frontera and San Bartolo de la Frontera to the border town of San Matías .
