Caitlin O'Heaney , also Kathleen Heaney (born August 16, 1953 in Whitefish Bay , Wisconsin ) is an American actress .

Life

O'Heaney studied acting at the Juilliard School in New York City between 1970 and 1974 . Under the name Kathleen Heaney, she was the understudy for Wanda Bimson in 1976 in the production A Matter of Gravity with Katharine Hepburn in the lead role. In 1978 she moved to Los Angeles , where she began her film and television career with the Apple Pie series . In the sitcom with Rue McClanahan , she played the role of Anna Marie Hollyhock , however only eight episodes were produced before the series was discontinued. The following year she made her feature film debut in the horror film Killer Behind the Mask . In 1980 she starred in Armand Mastroianni's horror film Panic Fear , Tom Hanks' screen debut . She played an uncredited role in Woody Allen's comedy A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy .

From 1982 to 1983 she had the lead female role in the adventure series The Sky Dogs of Boragora on the side of Stephen Collins . Although the series was nominated for four Primetime Emmys in that one year of production and won the award for Best Art Direction, it was discontinued due to low ratings. After guest appearances in various series formats, she received the lead role in the series The Charmings in 1987 , but was replaced by Carol Huston after five episodes . Nevertheless, her television career continued well with regular engagements until 1993. Since then she has only appeared a few times, including in a small role in the film-drama Club of the Caesars in 2002 .
