Calvin Levels

Calvin Levels (born September 30, 1954 in Cleveland , Ohio ) is an American actor .

Life

Levels began his career in the late 1970s with small appearances in television series and television films. He made his feature film debut in 1982 in a small supporting role in Miloš Forman's drama Ragtime . In 1984 he appeared on Broadway in the lead role of the production Open Admissions . He received the Theater World Award for his performance as well as nominations for the Tony Award and the Drama Desk Award , but commercially the production was less successful and was canceled after 17 performances. Between 1988 and 1989 he had one of the leading roles in the television series Knightwatch , of which only nine episodes were filmed. His better-known film roles include the portrayal of Joe Gipp in Chris Columbus ' directorial debut The Night of Adventures and the action film Hellbound , in which he played the partner of Chuck Norris .
