biography
Borsotti won the Super-G of the Whistler Cup in April 2003 . She competed in her first FIS races in December 2003 and has been racing in the European Cup since December 2004. In January 2005 she won the Super-G at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival and came second in slalom and giant slalom. In February 2005 she took part in a junior world championship for the first time and reached fourth place in the combined ranking and tenth place in slalom. A year later she was more successful at the Junior World Championship in 2006 and finished second in the Super-G and sixth in the downhill. In the European Cup, Borsotti celebrated her first victories in the 2009/2010 season in the indoor slalom in Wittenburg and in the Super-G in St. Moritz . In March 2010 she became Italian Combined Champion .
In the World Cup , Borsotti competed in the slalom in Lienz for the first time on December 29, 2005 , and just under a year later she won her first World Cup points in the super combination on the Reiteralm with rank 27. Placements in the World Cup points remained mostly the exception. Although she started in downhill and Super-G since 2006, for a long time she was only able to collect World Cup points in the super combination. In this discipline she has so far achieved three top 10 results, with her best placements being two seventh places in St. Anton am Arlberg on December 22, 2007 and in Tarvisio on March 4, 2011. In the winter of 2011/2012 , Borsotti was able to score more points than before in the World Cup and for the first time also win World Cup points in the Super-G and downhill.
