Can Çelebi (born April 27, 1990 in Ankara , Turkey ) is a Turkish handball player . His body length is 1.96 m.

Çelebi started playing handball at the age of ten. In his youth he played for the Turkish third division club Yaşamgücü Küçükler . He then played in Turkey until 2012 for the first division team Maliye Milli Piyango SK and from 2012 to 2014 for the first division team Ankara İl Özel İdare SK . With both teams he played in the European Cup Winners' Cup and in the EHF Challenge Cup , with Maliye Milli Piyango also in the EHF Cup . In 2014 he moved to the Croatian first division club RK Nexe Našice for one season . With Našice he also played in the SEHA League and in the EHF Cup. Çelebi was the first Turkish player in the SEHA league. In 2015, the French first division club Chartres Métropole Handball 28 signed him. Çelebi was the first Turkish player in the Ligue Nationale de Handball. With Chartres he also played in the EHF Cup. In September 2016, the German first division club TVB 1898 Stuttgart signed him . After Yunus Özmusul , who also played for TVB, Çelebi was the second Turkish player in the handball Bundesliga. After the 2016/17 season he left the TVB. From January 2018, Çelebi was under contract with the Turkish club Göztepe Izmir . With Göztepe he played in the EHF Challenge Cup. For the 2018/19 season he moved again to RK Nexe Našice.

Çelebi has played more than 85 international matches for the Turkish national team .

Çelebi holds the position of a right back player .

Çelebi has a degree in physics .

Çelebi comes from a sports-loving family. His father is the general secretary of the Turkish University Sports Federation , his mother gymnastics - Judge and his brother Badminton -Nationalspieler.
