Caner Baykan (born December 2, 1987 ) is a Turkish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Buz Korsanlar in the second Turkish league since 2013 .

Career

Caner Baykan began his career as a hockey player with Kocaeli Büyükşehir Belediyesi Kağıt SK , for whom he made his debut in the Turkish Super League in the 2004/05 season . In 2007 he and his team became Turkish national champions . He was also the Turkish runner-up with the team in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2012. Since 2013 he has been on the ice for the second division club Buz Korsanlar .

International

For Turkey, Baykan took part in the junior division in 2005 in qualifying for Division III of the U18 World Cup and in the Division III tournament itself. In 2006 and 2007 he played in Division III of the U20 World Cup.

With the men's national team , he took part in Division II competitions in 2005 , 2007 and 2010 as well as in Division III World Championships in 2006 , 2008 and 2012 . He was also on the ice for the team from the Bosporus during the pre-qualification for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver .
