Cankuzo is a province of Burundi . It is located in the east of the country, on the border with Tanzania . The provincial capital is also called Cankuzo .

Cankuzo is divided into the five districts ( communes ) Cankuzo, Cendajuru , Gisagara , Kigamba and Mishiha .
