Muramvya (alternative spelling Muramuya ) is a province of Burundi . Their capital is also called Muramvya . Until 2002, the neighboring province of Mwaro also belonged to Muramvya.

In 2007 Muramvya has about 317,000 inhabitants.

Muramvya is divided into the five districts ( communes ) Bukeye , Kiganda , Mbuye , Muramvya and Rutegama .
