Bujumbura Mairie is one of 18 provinces in the central African state of Burundi . The province is located in the west of the country on Lake Tanganyika and has around 1,000,000 inhabitants. Its size is identical to that of Bujumbura , the largest city in Burundi. It is completely surrounded by the Bujumbura Rural Province .
