Cannibals - Welcome to the Jungle ( Welcome to the Jungle ) is an Australian-American horror - adventure film documentary- style by director and screenwriter Jonathan Hensleigh from 2007.
The film is inspired by Ruggero Deodato's controversial cannibal film Cannibal Holocaust (1980).

The 23-year-old Michael Rockefeller , son of US Vice President Nelson A. Rockefeller , disappears in 1961 without a trace in the jungle of New Guinea , a supposed cannibal area. Despite the largest searches in US history and a high reward, the millionaire heir remains lost. Nevertheless, rumors and alleged sightings continue to circulate that the missing person lives in the impenetrable jungle.
Suva , Fiji in the present. Filmmaker Mandi picks up musician Bijou, who is looking for relaxation and she has not seen for seven years, from the airport. The two twenties spend some nice days together, which also include male acquaintances. Through Mandi's friend Colby, the bijou who traveled from Sydney met and fell in love with the American Mikey. When the four twenties hear from a helicopter pilot who allegedly claims to have spotted a 70-year-old bearded white in the depths of the jungle, their adventurous curiosity is aroused. They decide to look for the man, even though she is leading her dangerous expedition into one of the most unsafe areas in the world. In addition, they are hoping for a great reward for finding Rockefellers.
Via the port of Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea, the group travels by minibus to the border of the western part of the island , which belongs to Indonesia , the administratively autonomous province of Papua . From here the four adventurers continue their arduous march through the tropical rainforest on foot. The illustrious community is lagging behind the original schedule, and the first conflicts arise, which escalate with an outrage by the undisciplined Mikeys - he stole the skull of cannibal warriors from a burial ground - and ultimately lead to the division of the troops.
Mikey and Bijou steal the travel provisions and flee on a raft from the friends they left behind, who start chasing the fugitives at different times. Meanwhile, Mikey and Bijou are harassed and killed by angry members of a cannibal tribe. After a real ordeal through unknown territory, Colby and Mandi are also violently killed by the "natives" at the end of the film. In the last scene you see an older white man with the natives around the campfire.

Blickpunkt: Film wrote that the film was "a low-budget horror film based on ' Blair Witch Project ' patterns and classic genre models."
The film magazine VideoWoche praised the entertaining pastime for fans of the genre. The film is "not a bad idea" and far less controversial than some of the role models.
