Carl Beinert
Carl Christian Beinert (born January 15, 1793 in Woitsdorf near Bernstadt an der Weide , † December 20, 1868 in Bad Charlottenbrunn ) was a German pharmacist and geologist in Charlottenbrunn.
Life
Carl Beinert was the stately fountain and bath inspector and royal fountain and bath police inspector in Charlottenbrunn. On October 8, 1857, Beinert was elected to the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina . He corresponded with numerous scientists from different countries, including the President of the Geological Society of London .
Awards
- For his work on minerals and fossils and the treatise on the Braunau meteorite , he was awarded the title Doctor honoris causa from the University of Breslau.
- In 1856 he received the Little Order of the Red Eagle from the Dutch Academy of Sciences .
