Carl Ferdinand von Böltzig

Carl Ferdinand von Böltzig , also von Boeltzig , (born April 22, 1738 in Spören ; † January 5, 1796 in Unterlosa ) was a major in the Lower District of Electoral Saxony , March and District Commissioner of the Vogtland District and owner of several manors .

Life

Böltzig comes from an Upper Saxon noble family . His parents were Ludwig August von Böltzig (* March 29, 1705; † November 29, 1750) and his wife Johanna Charlotte von Bissing . His father was a Prussian lieutenant a. D. as well as heir, feudal lord and court lord in Spören and Renneritz . Carl Ferdinand was the third of four brothers. He was born on April 22nd, 1738 in Spören and baptized in the Romanesque church there. After completing his school education, he initially embarked on a military career in the service of the Wettins , before he entered their administrative service after his active military service. After the death of his father, he and his three brothers inherited the paternal manor in the Electorate of Saxony.

As march commissioner of the Vogtland district he initially stood by the local district commissioner, chamberlain and major Carl Friedrich Ludwig von Watzdorff on Kauschwitz , before he took over the district commissioner office from him before his death. The major in the upper district, Carl Heinrich von Raab auf Tirpersdorf , followed up as march commissioner .

Carl Ferdinand von Böltzig died on January 5, 1796 in Unterlossa near Plauen without male descendants. The Renneritz manor in his possession fell to his two surviving brothers Wilhelm Leopold (* May 11, 1737; † May 14, 1809) and Friedrich Rudolph von Böltzig (* July 1, 1739; † January 12, 1817) in Aken and Leisenau . His eldest brother Gottfried August of Böltzig (* 8 May 1736 † 15 September 1761) was, however, already some years ago in the Seven Years' War in Gostin fallen .

He married Louisa Amalia von Wuthenau in Spören in 1772 († December 25, 1824). From this marriage there were two daughters:
