Carl Kaiser-Herbst
Carl Kaiser-Herbst (born November 8, 1858 in Vienna ; † June 7, 1940 there ) was an Austrian landscape painter .
Kaiser-Herbst studied from 1878 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Christian Griepenkerl , then until 1886 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Nikolaus Gysis and Josef Wenglein , but was not entered in the Academy's register book.
From 1890 to 1894 Carl Kaiser-Herbst made study trips to the Alps, Dalmatia , Corfu and England .
He exhibited his landscape paintings in Paris in 1892 , and later also in London , Glasgow , Vienna and Munich .
Kaiser-Herbst spent the period from 1905 to 1909 in England and returned to Vienna in 1910. After the First World War he painted particularly often in Burgenland .
His wife Emilie Kaiser-Schlepitzka (1865–1955) was also a painter.
