Carl Wirth (politician, 1813)

Carl Ludwig Wirth (born March 18, 1813 in Mergentheim , † April 13, 1877 in Darmstadt ) was a Hessian judge and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Carl Wirth was the son of the accountant Franz Carl Wirth and his wife Henriette Antoinette, née Naab. Wirth, who was a Catholic, married Katharina Helene nee Fischer (1815-1893).

Carl Wirth studied from 1832 law . During his studies in 1832 he became a member of the old Gießen fraternity Germania and then the Corps Hassia Gießen . In 1843 he became an assessor with a vote at the Höchst District Court . In 1850 he moved to the district court of Langen in the same position, where he became district judge in 1856. In 1865 he became director of the Darmstadt District Criminal Court. From 1870 to 1876 he was special director of the fire insurance company Deutscher Phoenix .

From 1866 to 1872 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 3 / Langen . He represented clerical-conservative positions.
