Carl von Haase
Carl Friedrich Moritz Emil von Haase (born February 28, 1844 in Spandau near Berlin ; † September 2, 1913 in Langebrück near Dresden ) was a German landscape , hunting , genre , portrait and still life painter from the Düsseldorf School .
Life
Von Haase studied at the Leipzig Academy from 1862 to 1867 . There was, among others, Gustav Jäger his teacher. Then he went to Düsseldorf , where he stayed until 1875 and took private lessons with Wilhelm Sohn and Ernst Bosch . There he was a member of the artists' association Malkasten . From 1875 von Haase was based in Dresden . First he worked there in Ferdinand Pauwels' studio . Until the end of his life he lived with his wife Marie in Langebrück , he is buried in the local cemetery.
