After several years as a DJ Miss Kittin began in 1996 together with its partner The Hacker own pieces on the label International Deejay Gigolos by DJ Hell to publish. They first became known in 1998 with the 1982 track from the EP Champagne , which already contained the cool chanting in English with a French accent, which became a kind of trademark of Miss Kittin. This piece can be seen as an almost programmatic commitment to a retro aesthetic related to the 1980s and minimal electro (quote from the text: Let's go to the rendez-vous / Of the past, me and you / DJ plays deja- vu / As we were in '82 ). The music is clearly based on Kraftwerk , and the later published video, in which the lyrics run on the screen of a Commodore PET 2001 computer, as was common around 1980, cites Kraftwerk's man-machine aesthetic.

Another club hit, to which Miss Kittin contributed the vocals, was the 2000 piece The Vogue by Antonelli Electr. In 2001 she and Sven Väth recorded a cover version of the hit Je t'aime… moi non plus by Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin , and the associated video made it into the rotation of German music television. Since 2004 she has also published alone.

Miss Kittin is also one of the most sought-after DJs in the techno scene, she works with Felix da Housecat and Laurent Garnier , among others .
