The administrative community Steinkirchen is located in the Upper Bavarian district of Erding and is formed by the following communities:

  1. Hohenpolding , 1587 inhabitants, 27.42 km²
  2. Inning a.Holz , 1486 inhabitants, 11.83 km²
  3. Kirchberg , 1069 inhabitants, 17.1 km²
  4. Steinkirchen , 1262 inhabitants, 18.08 km²

The administrative community is based in Steinkirchen.

It was created in 1978 as part of the Bavarian regional reform from the four communities that form the center of the Erdinger Holzland .

The communication organ of the administrative community is the "Holzlandblatt".

The current chairman is the Kirchberg mayor Dieter Neumaier.
