Carsten Eisenmenger (born June 15, 1967 in Herne ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper . He works as a soccer coach.

Career

Eisenmenger came to football in his youth at the Westphalian club Westfalia Herne , for which he played as a youth in the Oberliga Westfalen . He later played for the upper division ASC Schöppingen and the second team of VfL Bochum . Later he was the third goalkeeper behind Andreas Wessels and Ralf Zumdick in the Bochum Bundesliga team. In October 1991 Eisenmenger moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for SC Freiburg . With the Freiburg team, he was promoted to the Bundesliga as champions of the 1992/93 season . In 1994 he went to Hannover 96 and in 1996 he moved together with Reinhold Daschner to the newly promoted regional league LR Ahlen . In 2000 he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga.

Eisenmenger played a total of 66 games in the 2nd Bundesliga for SC Freiburg and Hannover 96 between 1991 and 1996 .

After the end of his playing career, Eisenmenger worked as a goalkeeping coach at SC Austria Lustenau , VfL Reken and the DFB .
