Caspar Schutzbar called Milchling (* 1525 ; † October 29, 1588 ) was a squire in Treis an der Lumda , since July 1974 part of Staufenberg in the district of Gießen in Hesse (Germany).

Life

He came from the Upper Hessian noble family called Schutzbar Milchling and was a son of Hartmann Schutzbar called Milchling († 1560) and Maria von Breidenbach called Breidenstein.

Caspar Schutzbar called Milchling was from 1567 and until 1588 Landgrave Hessian bailiff and captain (today about district administrator ) in Gießen . On April 14, 1569, he was together with his brothers Heinrich Hermann, Georg Hartmann and Wilhelm in the realm baron conditions applicable. They were nephews of the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order Wolfgang Schutzbar called Milchling . Another brother, Wolfgang Schutzbar called Milchling (~ 1530–1567) was Prince Abbot of the Imperial Abbey of Fulda from 1558 until his death .

In the church of Treis of the nave is located on the north side a renaissance - Epitaph , reminiscent of Caspar and his wife Agnes of Waiblingen. She was a granddaughter of the Hessian chamber master, councilor and Marshal of Fulda Rudolf von Waiblingen († 1533) and his wife Osanna von der Tann.
