Castellfollit de la Roca is a Catalan municipality in the province of Girona in northeastern Spain with 961 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019).

location

The place is located in the Comarca Garrotxa on a rock massif made of basalt rock more than fifty meters high . The original appearance of a typical Catalan village, whose houses were mainly built from volcanic rock from the surrounding area, has largely been preserved.

• The lookout point - Mirador  - at the far end of the village offers a view of the volcanic rock formations of the Garrotxa region .
• The 13th century church of Sant Salvador, now used as a cultural center.
