The Centostazioni SpA was a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane (FS) from 2001 to 2018 the operation of the 103 medium-sized stations in Italy responsible.

history

The company was founded in 2001 under the name Medie Stazioni . The aim was the operation and supervision of the renovation of medium-sized train stations in Italy. In 2002 the Archimede consortium took a 40 percent stake in the company's capital. The shareholders in Archimede are the Venice Airport Company , Manutencoop Scarl , Investienti Immobilliari Lombardi SpA and Pulitori & Affini SpA

In 2010 the company had sales of EUR 76.69 million. Since the end of January 2017, the Italian State Railways are again sole owners.

The rental of the retail space in the five stations Milano Porta Garibaldi , Torino Porta Susa , Padova , Roma Ostiense and Napoli Afragola as well as the overall marketing of these stations was spun off in 2018 to a separate subsidiary of FS called Centostazioni Retail SpA . This was put up for sale in March 2018 and one year later on March 28, 2019, it was sold to the French real estate company Altarea Cogedim for 45 million euros .

Centostazioni SpA, on the other hand, was integrated into the Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) division of FS on July 16, 2018 and no longer exists as an independent company.
