biography

With his first four albums, Love in C Minor (1976), Cerrone's Paradise (1977), Cerrone 3: Supernature (1977) and The Golden Touch (1978), Cerrone shaped the European disco sound of the 1970s, but also created it Jump into the US charts. In 1978 he also made it into the charts with a second disco project called Kongas . The title track of his debut Love in C Minor was in the top 40 of the pop and number 2 of the disco charts. His other classics that made it into the disco hit lists include Cerrone's Paradise , Supernature , Give Me Love (1977) and Je suis music (1978).

Cerrone continued his career with regular releases even after the end of the disco era. He relied on new compositions as well as remixes of his old successes. In 1996 , Supernature reached the American dance charts again in a corresponding mix. His collaboration with Bob Sinclar : Cerrone by Bob Sinclar (2001) also received a lot of attention . Cerrone is still active as an album and live artist.

Cerrones son Greg is also a musician.
