Christopher Chace Crawford (born July 18, 1985 in Lubbock , Texas ) is an American actor best known for his role as Nathaniel Archibald in Gossip Girl .

Life

Crawford, who grew up in Plano , Texas, is the eldest of two children of Chris Crawford, a dermatologist , and Dana Crawford, a professional teacher . His younger sister, Candice, is studying journalism .

Chace, who was raised in Christianity, attended Trinity Christian Academy, which he attended until 2003. In order to earn the money for the subsequent visit to Pepperdine University in Malibu , California , he worked parallel to this as a photo model . Crawford initially planned to study economics, but his mother encouraged him in his sophomore year to try acting.

In 2006 Crawford made his American television debut in the drama Long Lost Son . In the same year he received his first film role in the movie The Pact . From 2007 to 2012 he was on the US television channel The CW in the series Gossip Girl , which is based on the books of the same name by Cecily von Ziegesar .

In 2008 he starred in the thrillers Loaded alongside Jesse Metcalfe and Vinnie Jones and in Molly Hartley - The Daughter of Satan . In 2010 he played the male lead in the film Twelve alongside Emma Roberts , the 17-year-old drug dealer White Mike . Since the end of September 2015, Crawford starred Billy LeFever in the ABC drama series Blood & Oil .
