Chameleon is the sixth album by the American funk / soul trio Labelle . This album was the second which Labelle released in 1976 under her record label on Epic Records . In Patti LaBelle's autobiography, Don't Block The Blessings , she stated that she planned with LaBelle to release a sequel to Chameleon called Shaman , but the album was never produced. The trio didn't record any more works until their comeback Back to Now came out in 2008 . Chameleon reached number 94 on the Billboard 200 and number 21 on the R&B charts. Two songs were released as singles and hit the charts. The first single, Get You Somebody New , reached number 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Isn't It A Shame reached number 18 on the R&B charts. Isn't It A Shame was featured in 2004 by rapper Nelly on his hit My Place feat. Jaheim sampled.
