Chances Are is a reggae album by Jamaican reggae legend Bob Marley and his band, released by his wife Rita Marley in October 1981, a few months after Bob Marley's death; Chances Are is Marley's first posthumous album.

All of Chances Are's songs were recorded in Jamaica during Marley's early career between 1968 and 1972 , but they have never been released before (with the exception of Reggae on Broadway , an earlier single from Columbia Records ). Marley was influenced in composing the songs by Johnny Nash , a world-famous star at the time of recording. This is shown by the fact that Chances Are has a gentler character than Marley's later albums.
