Changning
Changning (长宁 区Chángníng Qū ) is a district in the west of the city center of the government- direct city of Shanghai in the People's Republic of China .
Changning has 964,000 inhabitants (2007) on an area of 38.3 square kilometers. The population density is 19,386 inhabitants per square kilometer.
Splendid villas stand here alongside simple residential areas. The district borders on Shanghai Hongqiao Airport to the west . There are some large shopping centers in the northeast. While there are few bikes around in the ultra-modern neighborhoods of Shanghai, you can see them more often here. Many foreigners also live here in closed residential parks, which is why Changning is also called the "International Quarter".
