Fengxian

Fengxian (奉贤 区 Fèngxián Qū) is a municipality in the Chinese government- immediate city ​​of Shanghai . It has 508,721 inhabitants (2003) on an area of ​​687.39 square kilometers. The population density is 740 inhabitants per square kilometer.

Fengxian is one of the two southernmost districts in Shanghai. It borders directly on the sea and Hangzhou Bay.

In 2001, Fengxian, originally a county , was transformed into the current municipality.

In the large community of Nanqiao there is the Guhua Park with the "Sannu Temple" (Temple of Three Women), which commemorates the three daughters of the Wu King during the Warring States period , who preferred to hang themselves rather than from the soldiers of the King of Yue to be captured.

Administrative structure

At the community level, Fengxian is made up of eight large communities . These are:
