Yet he lives entirely in the world of music. When he met the young realtor Marion in Clermont-Ferrand , he fell in love with her. But Marion's detachment initially prevents a serious relationship. Reviews

  • Thorsten Funke wrote in critic.de on December 23, 2006: “Gérard Depardieu as a potty singer in the French provinces - what sounds like a risk with kitsch potential turns out to be a triumph for the actor. And as a skillfully told love story with wonderful music. "
  • The film magazine Cinema draws the following conclusion: “[...] The scenes of this romance are anything but glamorous. Director Xavier Giannoli does not value beauty, but rather coherence. He is supported in this by an unpretentious, sensitive Depardieu and the adorable Cécile de France: Their up-and-down relationship is like a red wine that everyone involved has given peace and time to breathe. […] Conclusion: Wonderfully melancholy cinema from France with another Gérard Depardieu who is well worth seeing. "
