Chantelouve is a town and commune Déléguée in the French community Chantepérier with 80 inhabitants (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). The inhabitants are called Chantelouviers .

On January 1, 2019, the municipality of Chantelouve merged with Le Périer to form the Commune nouvelle Chantepérier. The community belonged to the Arrondissement Grenoble and the canton Matheysine-Trièves (until 2015 Valbonnais ).

geography

Chantelouve is located about 38 kilometers south-southeast of Grenoble on the Bonne . The municipality of Chantelouve was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Ornon in the north, Villard-Reymond in the northeast, Villard-Notre-Dame and Le Bourg-d'Oisans in the east and northeast, Le Périer in the south and Lavaldens in the west.
