Charles Kerremans

Charles Kerremans (born October 28, 1915 ) is a Belgian diplomat .

Life

Charles Kerremans is the grandson of the entomologist Charles Kerremans of the same name. He received his doctorate from the University of Brussels in 1939 and entered the diplomatic service of his country in 1946.

In 1949, as a Germany specialist , he became the second class secretary at the Belgian mission to the Allied High Commission and advisor to Louis Scheyven , Belgium's representative there. He was then accredited in Vienna and Paris . From April 1956 he was employed at the court of Baudouins and in July 1964 promoted to royal chamberlain . From 1965 to 1970 he was the Belgian ambassador in Helsinki , Finland .

From March 1970 to 1974 he was the Belgian ambassador in New Delhi, India . There he was also responsible for Kabul , Kathmandu , Colombo in Sri Lanka and Dhaka in Bangladesh .

From July 11, 1974 to July 2, 1975, Kerremans was the Belgian ambassador to Kinshasa in Zaire . In April 1975 he was called to Brussels for consultations by the Belgian Foreign Minister.
