Eugen Rittweger de Moor

Eugène Rittweger de Moor (* 1921 in Theux , † 1984 in Uccle ) was a Belgian diplomat .

Life

Eugene Rittweger de Moor was married to Monique de Mal (born September 12, 1921, † December 24, 2008 in Uccle) and had two sons with her, Paul Hervé and Patrick Rittweger de Moor (born February 17, 1954). Eugene Rittweger de Moor entered his country's diplomatic service in 1947. From 1950 to 1952 he was accredited in Greece , from 1953 to 1954 in Czechoslovakia and from 1956 to 1960 in Peru . Rittweger de Moor was consul general in Bukavu in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 1960 when Mobutu Sese Seko tried to occupy Bukavu with troops and, despite support from the Belgians, failed at the Ruzizi II river power station. and Dar es Salaam .

From 1960 to 1961 he was General in Tanganyika and from 1962 chargé d'affaires in Dar es Salaam with the district of Uganda and Madagascar . In 1963 he became chargé d'affaires in Nairobi , Kenya . On February 5, 1965, he was accredited as ambassador by the government in Dar es Salaam. On December 17, 1965 he was accredited as ambassador by the government in Antananarivo (Madagascar).

From February 2, 1976 to June 15, 1980 he was ambassador in Kinshasa , Zaire .
