Charlotte Paul (born April 20, 1973 in London ) is a former triathlete starting for Australia and two-time Ironman winner (2007, 2009).

Career

Charlotte Paul grew up in London and was active in swimming as a child.

In 1998 she moved to Sydney, Australia and is now a UK and Australian citizen.

Professional triathlete since 2004

In 2002 she took part in her first triathlon and since 2004 she started as a professional. In 2007 she won the long-distance triathlon at Ironman Western Australia (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) and was able to achieve a second Ironman victory in China in 2009 as a 35-year-old. It has not appeared internationally since 2009.

Charlotte Paul is married to Kristian Manietta , who also trained her, and they live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.

Their son was born in February 2011.
